ir pointer loses signal/stutters near screen edges

Description

Hello, I have just tried out cwiid and am very impressed! I thought getting it to work on linux would be far more difficult :P

However while using the ir plugin I notice that the mouse stutters (that is, the wiimote is not seeing the LEDs in the sensor bar) when moving around the edges of the screen. What needs to be done is to make the ir movement cause a larger movement in the cursor position, such that the cursor can be moved around the entire screen without the IR LEDs from being lost. I don't know if I have explained this very well, but it would end up with the wiimote still seeing the LEDs even when the wiimote is pointing in such a way that the cursor is at the edge of the screen.

I have (in my somewhat newbish enthusiasm) tried to modify the code (with no success :S ) so I'm afraid I can't help with the coding. If you have any comments/suggestions please do write back, or if you want to email me directly please send it to eatmuchpie at hotmail dot com.

Thanks very much!

Yup, IR tracking sucks. See #5. My main focus right now is adding python plugins so that people like yourself who have good ideas but aren't necessarily expert coders can contribute more easily. Stay tuned.

An easy quick fix to this is to stand closer to the IR source ;). I know it's not really a fix, but at least you will be able to do what you want for now.

also, should this be closed since it is part of ticket:5?
