Hello ,i would like a lot your proyect and i would like aport some ideas. i wish i can make program,but i know only a litle. Yesterday i saw an interesting video of use wiimote for create a cheap Whiteboard and use 4 "lightpens".I think it would very interesting add it to that library and can use wiimote as wac i know proyects as palwac for do it with a pda,and the person who did it on windows publish its sources.but it use other library and .net (maybe with mono) but i think it would be better all in c.

and also a 3d mouse how the demo make with your library.

it sounds very good have 4 mouses with a only one wiimote ,and can use in colaborative mode as  http://multicursor-wm.sourceforge.net/ or with new Xorg 7.5 which will include Multi-Pointer X.
