Building on Ubuntu

I managed to build on Ubuntu with GCC 3.3.6 using the source from the 0.5.02 release, would you be interested in the changes? It was mostly/entirely all just making typecasts explicit. If so, how would I go about getting those to you?

    Could you take a look at building the 0.6 release on Ubuntu? I'm having trouble and trying to figure out what needs to be done.

      If I recall, the patch was a bunch of unnecessary casts, and I couldn't reproduce the errors with any version of gcc. What kind of errors are you seeing?
