Sharing Config Files
 unsolved

I think it would be awesome if there were a way for users to easily share their wminput config files. Such a repository could have config files that, for example, work with the default control settings with games. This way if user A creates a config file that works with the default UT2k4 settings, user B could download this config file and play UT2k4 with their wiimote with literally no configuration.

This just an idea I had that I think would make cwiid more user friendly and that much more freaken' sweet.

Thanks for setting that up. After my next round of tests are done for school I'll get my configs perfected and posted. Hopefully I'll have the nunchuck add on by then as well.

I'll get the word out as much as I can so hopefully we can get a healthy heap of different configurations.

I just wrote a simple script wiimote_watch.sh and uploaded it. It does pretty much everything wiimote_connect does but it uses kdialog to let you know what it's doing and to take input from the user.

It also lets the user pick which config file to use for wminput when a wiimote is discovered. This should make managing a bunch of config files easier for now, until a more elegant solution comes along.

You can run it as a daemon by slightly modifying the wiimote init script included with wiimote_connect. Props go to Heavybell for his script.
