Project Status

It seems as though this project has been idle for awhile. There has been next to no commits to the svn repository. Plus, no updates to the tickets as well. It the project dead? Is this project going forward?

I'm interested in updating wminput to handle multiple wiimotes so multiplayer games on various emulators can work. I would like it to work in a similar fashion to the wii console. With LED's showing which wiimote is which joystick. I want to fix the configuration so it can handle different wiimotes within a single configuration file. It would be nice to also have a timeout so the wiimotes get disconnected when not being used (like the wii console). It's is painful to set wminput up to handle this without running multiple instances. That cannot be automated easily. I do not want to start if someone else is working on it.

Thanks, msg

It's on the backburner, but not dead. I've just got too much going on right now to keep up the pace of development like I was doing a year ago. I do plan to spend some time integrating code for the newer attachments (Guitar Hero and fitness board) in the near future.

As far as the extensions to wminput that you mention, I don't know of anyone working on it, and I welcome you to take on the task. I'm available on the forums and by email for questions and discussion, and although I don't have time right now to get involved in the details, I'd be happy to offer suggestions and help with architectural decisions. Good luck!
